Worried about duties, VAT & excise?
We’ve got you covered.

Ship into a European bonded storage—either your preferred customs-controlled warehouse or ours—so you can defer charges and time release for maximum value.

Rue Pinard Bonded Storage Policy (Europe Mainland & UK)
We proactively use bonded/customs warehousing to give you control over when duties, VAT and excise are paid, turning regulatory friction into strategic optionality.

Why it matters?

  1. Deferred charges: Pay duties, VAT and excise only when you withdraw or release the wine—preserving capital and letting you time the market.
  2. Flexibility on timing: If rates move against you, wine stays under bond; release it when conditions improve.
  3. Value allocation: Hold inventory in bond to optimize positioning for future sales without immediate tax drag.

What we provide

  1. Climate-controlled, secure bonded storage compliant with EU and UK customs regimes.
  2. Full insurance coverage while your stock remains under bond.
  3. Detailed, audit-ready records (vintage, lot, arrival, release).
  4. Transparent costing—storage and handling fees clearly integrated into your landed cost.

How it works

  1. You choose the bonded facility (or use our approved warehouse).
  2. Wine is stored under bond; no upfront duties/VAT/ excise.
  3. When you’re ready, instruct us to release: we handle all customs filings, payments, shipping and compliance.
  4. Sales: When you want to sell, we are here to assist you. We have an extensive network of Trade partners and Private Collectors.

With Rue Pinard’s bonded solution, you retain control, defer cost, and position your rare-wine portfolio for optimal future returns.

Every bottle is treated with the care and precision it deserves, preserving provenance and long-term value.
