The Krug Clos du Mesnil 2006 is an exquisite representation of the esteemed vintner's craftsmanship, showcasing the unique terroir of the Clos du Mesnil vineyard in Champagne. This single-vineyard Champagne is crafted exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, reflecting its origin from one of the very few remaining walled vineyards in the Champagne region, renowned for its chalky soils which impart distinctive minerality to the wine.
The 2006 vintage offers a rich bouquet of citrus fruits, toasted brioche, and floral notes, layered with subtle hints of almond and white pepper. The palate is beautifully balanced, with a creamy texture and a refreshing acidity that leads to a long, expressive finish.
