The Margaux 2011 is an exemplary representation of the prestigious Bordeaux region, showcasing the magnificence for which this area is renowned. This vintage is primarily crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon, offering a harmonious blend with Merlot, reflecting the distinctive terroir of Margaux, characterised by its gravelly soils and temperate climate.
On the nose, the wine exhibits an intricate bouquet of ripe blackcurrants, plums, and subtle notes of oak, revealing a touch of vanilla and spice. The palate is equally impressive, displaying a seamless integration of tannins and a rich, velvety texture. Flavours of dark fruits intertwine with hints of tobacco and earthiness, culminating in a long and satisfying finish.
Technical details include an alcohol content of around 13.5%. The wine is best appreciated when allowed to breathe and can be aged for several years to evolve its character further.
