The Livio Sassetti (Pertimali) Brunello Montalcino 2016 showcases the elegance and depth characteristic of this prestigious region in Tuscany. Crafted from 100% Sangiovese grapes, this wine epitomises the exceptional terroir of Montalcino, where the combination of climate, soil, and altitude creates ideal conditions for viticulture.
In the glass, the Brunello reveals a deep ruby-red hue with garnet reflections, indicating its maturity. On the nose, complex aromas of ripe cherries, dried herbs, and earthy undertones are complemented by subtle notes of oak and tobacco, demonstrating well-integrated wood influence. The palate is medium to full-bodied, displaying remarkable structure, balanced acidity, and fine tannins. Flavours of blackberries, plums, and hints of spice mingle harmoniously, leading to a long, graceful finish.
