The Glendronach 1968 Re-opening of the Distillery 2002 Bottling is a remarkable single malt Scotch whisky, emblematic of its storied heritage and the significant maturation process it has undergone. Hailing from the Speyside region, this expression has matured for approximately 34 years in premium Sherry wood casks—cask numbers 2640 and 2641—imparting profound depth and complexity.
Bottled at a natural strength of 48.7% ABV, it encapsulates the full character and craftsmanship of the distillery, which famously reopened on May 14, 2002. The whisky presents a deep-sherried profile with rich, dark fruit notes, complemented by hints of spice and oak, typical of long maturation in meticulously selected barrels.
The terroir of Speyside contributes to the whisky's distinct character, showcasing the region's rich history of whisky production and its commitment to quality.
