Vega Sicilia Unico 1965 stands as a quintessential expression of the Ribera del Duero region. This iconic wine is primarily crafted from Tinta Fina (Tempranillo) and a small proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyard's unique terroir, characterised by its altitude and diverse soils, imparts a profound complexity and elegance to the wine.
This vintage exhibits a deep ruby colour with a subtle garnet rim, indicating its maturation. The bouquet is a harmonious blend of dark fruit, cedar, leather, and earthy undertones, complemented by hints of spice and vanilla from its oak aging. On the palate, it is full-bodied with robust tannins, offering layers of blackberries, plums, and a persistent finish that resonates with the old-world charm of Vega Sicilia.
